56 km by bike 7,5 weeks after surgery 🎉🥳
Here’s a positive report amidst all the negative ones. I had my right hip surgery in mid-January and I'm over 40. Labrum anchors were placed, and the bone was shaved to eliminate the impingement, while the cartilage was smoothed. Now, seven weeks after the surgery, I went on my first small bike tour today—56 kilometers. I would never have done it on my own, but my physiotherapist, who is really good, pushed me to finally start exercising intensively again due to severe muscle atrophy.
The new hip is completely pain-free and performed really well. I'm looking forward to my second surgery in November!
