Did anyone hear anything about a performance mode being added via a patch for the Xbox One X?

I just saw the patch notes and didn't see anything about it. I've been waiting over a month to finally see if I should pick the game up, but no performance although practically every other platform has it has kept me back. Has anyone heard or seen anything about a performance mode being added in for this patch?
