How to get furniture for Pam and Tam?

Hi all! Just started playing since 2 weeks and I'm hooked. Can anyone tell me how to get a hold of the furniture to get Pam and Tam to the island? Do I need to trade this? I can't seem to figure this one out. Thanks a lot!
