What do you think of the scythe now?

If I’m being honest, I think its an amazing weapon. It feels incredible to use especially now after the buffs. It instantly shreds fodder enemies and can kill stronger enemies extremely fast on constant headshots. For example a devastator will go down near instantly, the precise, spreadless, and recoilless nature of the gun makes killing them from a distance a cake walk, and stalkers will die to a constant headshot within 2-3 seconds.

I’m not saying its the best weapon nor am I saying the 300 > 350 damage increase is game changing, but it just feels much more better than others make it out to be. I always hear about how much the scythe sucks but it really doesn’t feel that way. Ofc it struggles with some armored enemies like scout striders and the shrimp terminids, but that should be expected because a primary shouldn’t be expected to easily deal with every enemy.

I think it shines at long to mid ranges, and when O say long range i mean LONG ranges. No recoil and perfect accuracy makes beaming things from a distance like a vacation day, and did I mention how easy it is to slice off the limbs of terminids with this? Just a little passing through their joints then oops their legs are gone, and don’t forget that weapons have a ton of hidden stats we don’t know about, we just have to feel it.

Are there better options for a primary? Yes there are, but is the scythe as useless and bad as the community makes it out to be? Not at all, its incredible in its own way. But I kinda wanna hear what others have to say about it, has anyone tried it recently after the buffs and did you enjoy it?
