Rekindle the Kickstarter Fire?

Hell Let Loose originated from Kickstarter which was its stroke of brilliance, sparking strong engagement from both players and developers.

Sadly, with Team17's acquisition and their search for monetization, we've lost that original relationship.

Considering the ridiculous amount of hours I've put into this game, I'm more than happy to throw a few dollars towards development. However, in the future, I don't think it would be beneficial for the developers to introduce mystery boxes or introduce pay-to-play subscriptions that unlocks game functions, as that would disrupt the player base, which is so important.

Could a Pay-to-Vote development system bring us back together?

This is not forced on any players, its their choice to opt in: -

Perhaps a small voluntary subscription (say $5/month with some DLCs thrown in), where players could vote on priorities like Game Modes, Maps, and Gameplay Enhancements. If this money goes directly into development, progress speeds up, and word spreads. This is a far more organic way of growing the player base than frustratingly giving the game away for free.

Sure, a Pacific Theater would be great, but to keep expectations in check, players provide a shortlist of voting items, developers draft a rough plan and timeline, and then we vote.

Would you opt in?
