15 Years Later and HPV is back

I had a LEEP done 15 years ago and normal Pap smears for many years following that. Admittedly, I haven't been for a pap since 2020 and went in this week for my first one in 5 years. It came back with "slight abnormality" called atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance and tested positive for HPV. We have a colposcopy scheduled. But I'm beside myself with worry. I am so upset that I haven't gone in in 5 years and am worried it has had lots of time to progress. When I went in for the pap, the woman doing it expressed that since I hadn't had any abnormal ones following that Leep, and it's been so long, I am probably cleared of it. Could this be really far progressed since it's been 5 years since my last Pap smear? Is it normal that my body hasn't cleared HPV in 15 years?
