I'm a specialist in Cytotechnology ask me anything

Hi HPV:

Ask me anything about HPV and Cervical cancer on the diagnostic side. I won't comment on specific cases. I'm here to answer questions about the testing phase of you getting better.

My background, I graduated from cytology school in 1988. Yep, I'm old. I'm in the last few months of my career. I trained and worked with the best pathologists. I learned so much. My focus lately has been on Fine needle aspirations of Thyroid nodules, but I still look at Pap's everyday. I have been on over 8k biopsies.

Here's what I can answer: Anything that's on a report signed out by a pathologist. Likely, I wrote the diagnosis and he or she fixed my wording or was more specific. So, we can talk about that. I know a lot about HPV as it is the primary cause of cervical cancer including adenocarcinoma of the endocervix. I'm trained on the COBAS and Dual Stain(p16/ki67).

Eliminating HPV was my work, I have two daughters and my wife.
