Grad school Philosophy summer preparation?

Hi y'all, I'm going to start my MA in the Fall (Texas Tech) and I'm curious about if anybody has any suggestions (general or specific) about what to do, during the summer, to prepare for the upcoming semester. I've emailed students and faculty and the camp seems to be split between: 1) relaxing and doing nothing philosophy related 2) relaxing and doing light philosophy or reading texts for fun 3) actively reading classic or fundamental texts that you've always wanted to read 4) actively read texts for the upcoming seminars

Does anyone care to share their experience or have advice to offer?

Thanks in advance!
