PIXEL8 audio playback pausing when running in background

I'm facing this issue with telegram voice notes, VLC media player when playing songs on VLC. when the app is minimised and the audio is being played in the background or even when the Phone is locked, the audio stops after few seconds. It immediately resumes when i go back to the app .

Not an issue with Spotify.

Please help.
