Madrid- low emission zone on foreign plates

Hi! My friends are from Poland and currently living in Madrid for the next 3 months. When they arrived in Madrid they found out about low emission zones but they didn’t know that the low emission zones were updated in 2023 and 3 times they accidentally got on a low emission road (they only drove like 100 meters in that zone, but they already saw a camera and thats when they realized that this road is also a low emission zone since 2023) and as soon as they realized they left the road. Now they have a few questions, will they get a ticket since they are driving with Polish plates? Will they send the tickets to Poland? Can they still register their car as a low emission car and if yes where can they do it? (They looked it up on google and couldn’t find how to register Polish plates, it only allows to register Spanish plates). If they end up registering somehow, will they get a ticket for those 3 times they accidentally got on the low emission zone (when they add their foreign Polish plates to the Spanish system). How do they lower their chances of getting a ticket if they only got on the low emission zone for 100 meters.
