Does Welcome Set cards count as meteorite cards?

I'm currently building my first all meteorite deck however I realized that the 'Wild Hog' cards I'm using in my deck are part of the Welcome Set and therefore can't be forged.

Does the welcome set cards count as meteorite quality card by default then?
