Men who scream on video games

Okay ladies, how do you deal with your boyfriend/significant other who is always SO loud while gaming. We share a gaming space and when he’s online with friends he’s practically screaming and I constantly have to ask him to be quiet. I have no problem with him talking but when he has his headphones on, he has no concept of his volume.

Last night I went to bed while he was still playing and our bedroom is directly above his set up. He woke me up out of a dead sleep from screaming to the point where I thought something was wrong. I went to check on him. Asked him to be quiet and reminded him that we have neighbors and if I heard him screaming from upstairs, the other 3 apartments could definitely hear him.

We got into it this morning when I addressed it again and he got really snippy with me. But I’m just so done. I have to ask him EVERY TIME HE PLAYS to be mindful of his volume like I’m his freaking mom. UGH

Anyone else have a loud ass boyfriend?

EDIT: He also has volume issues without having headphones on. He might actually have hearing issues since he’s worked in construction for over 10 years. But lord my little ears are suffering.

EDITEDIT: Thankfully he is not a rage gamer and he’s not yelling at random kids. He only plays multi player with his actual friends. So he’s loud from excitement and giggling with other 30 year old men. And typing that out doesn’t make it sound much better 🤣
