Bug with Apple Watch app?

Hi! I discovered this app about a week or so ago and am really loving it so far! I have spotted a bit of an issue with the Apple Watch app, though.

Yesterday I got a notification on my watch whilst running that I had completed my first km, but the app then froze on the watch. Tracking continued fine on my iPhone but the watch app didn’t work. I had to resort to force closing it once I’d finished my run.

Today I selected a Gentler Streak workout on my phone and clicked to send it to my watch. I hit start on my watch but the app froze in the start screen. Again, tracking continued fine in my iPhone and the watch app was, again, useless.

Is this a known bug? Is there any way to fix this? Thanks for any help anyone is able to offer.
