How can i7-14700hx be better than i9-14900hx?

I have come to a decission of getting the Lenovo legion 5i 32gb ram I9-14900hx 4060

When I asked people of should I go for it or nah most said that change i9 to i7 they said "it's actually better in terms of gaming". Like how is it better that i9? Also please give me a good laptop recommendation if u guys think i7 is better than i9
