Can't understand spoken french.

Bonjour!! I am learning french since 6 months. Whenever I try to do listening practice , I feel totally blank. I can't comprehend the accent even at slow pace. There is still a lot to learn for me in terms of vocabulary and grammer rules but I am already done with present, passé composé, future and imperfect tenses. I have started listening to children and beginner level audioclips ,songs on youtube but even after listening to various audioclips daily I see no improvement. I am feeling so frustrated and it feels like I am putting efforts but with no progress. I make it a point to listen to something in french daily but need some help and tips as to how can I actually make the process effective. Thanks in advance!!
