How are you running your Operations?

I have a freight brokerage that does 4 million a year in revenue. It is myself and one other person doing all the quoting, sales, carrier vetting etc. We have back end support because I work for a carrier so all the admin stuff is taken care of and out of my way.

I am wondering how people run their brokerages and manage their time between sales, quoting, training, and when is the best time to hire more. Right now we get buried under emails between the 2 of us and it is sometimes frantic until the end of the day. I feel like there has to be a better way.
