Vault bug?

I've played a few games this evening and I'm trying to complete the Piper Pace quests. 3 times now I've been to vaults (all separate games), killed the dude to get the vault key, gone down to the vault only to find the vault door open. The vault door isn't actually open though (of course, because I have the key) so I cannot enter the vault (it's like an invisible forecefield oreventing me from getting in) nor can I put the key card in. Kinda bummed me out the first time but I assumed it was just a one off weird glitch, but now like I say it's happened 3 times. Anyone know why this is happening? I have of course reported this in game.

Edited to add: I'm on PS4 if that makes any difference.
