rant about ASUS warranty....
I have no words to describe.....
- calling Switzerland support --> NOBODY SPEAKS ENGLISH, in 2025, a global company only has ppl capable to speaking french.... no comment (somehow I am sure they just DON'T want to speak english.... but they know how...)
- calling US support, they advised that, the laptop comes with 1y of global warranty BUT, if you want to extend that, you can do it by extending it via MyAsus but it will only be "valid" in USA, why? because you should be purchasing the extended warranty ONLY in the country where you purchased the laptop, otherwise it won't be valid
- terms and conditions says you can't extend the warranty purchasing the extended warranty in the local county where you live (in my case Switzerland) as it wouldn't be valid on a laptop purchased in the USA, this was confirmed also from US support
- USA support also confirmed that, because they don't sell the 128 version in EUROPE, I will have to send it back paying myself if anything happens....
all I can say... ASUS, global company.... get your sh** together..... in 2025, this kind of catch23 loop is not acceptable... why can't I simply buy global international warranty extension? why the extended warranty is only valid in the country where it was purchased
