Advice needed on cracked tile floor
My kitchen floor was put in just before I bought my home by the previous homeowners. I don't think it was professionally installed because over half of the tiles are cracked from very normal if not less than normal wear and tear over the past 6 years. I'm not sure if they used a wall tile on the floor by mistake or if the floor was not properly prepped before laying the tile. I'd like to get it fixed, but the tile is installed under all the appliances and cabinetry. I don't really have the budget to remove the cabinetry, countertops, etc in order to lay a new floor properly.
Is there any solution to fixing the individual cracked tiles one by one without taking up the entire floor? If so, would they just crack again? Could the current tile somehow be cut along the base of the cabinetry and a new one installed without removing the cabinetry? Is there another kind of flooring that could be installed on top that could butt up against the existing cabinetry until it's time for the whole kitchen to be remodeled and the tile could be redone properly?
