Why are Indian parents like this?

Hi, I hope everyone is doing well. So the thing is I live abroad and mostly cook/order food from outside. From the past month or so, my daily diet is egg whites, whole eggs, greek yogurt, chicken ,rice ,peanut butter (powder) , some sauces, 1 cheat meal per week (depends on what I crave at the point), so today my mother asked me what did I eat? I told her I ate chicken ,rice, egg bhurji and yogurt, My mother freaked out saying that why don't I eat roti anymore(I have been telling her about this diet for 2 weeks now). . I tried to explain that I am trying to loose weight ( I am 89kg rn, I want to get my weight to 75kg).

She argued with me it was useless as I was fine, the thing is I do have fat and do look overweight, I just want to loose weight. But guess what she just kept argued with me that why I don't eat roti, I tried explaining roti is not that important, she kept arguing again. I don't know what to do , I am fat but she thinks that I look fine. Bro how can we explain to indian parents that being overweight/obese ain't healthy and can cause problems later. She has also argued with me about consuming protein powder, saying Dal/sabji has enough protein, I have even sent her reels regarding this topic and she just says " haan tumko zyada pata hai? Apne Badon ke aage zubaan ladate ho". Bro this is really weird.
