EAFC24 PC Lag

recently my game has been lagging in odd ways. gameplay is fine, pre-match cutscenes are fine, but certain animations such as goal celebrations, referee booking someone, etc. are lagging. corners also lag horribly whenever i'm taking one.

i play on pc, i don't know whether this is the fault of a new update to something i'm not aware of, but i'd like to know how to fix it. i've had a look around the subreddit for similar issues, i'm not alone in having this problem, but i can't find any solutions.
