NAFLD from too much fruit?
I recently got a blood test and it revealed that I have high cholesterol and high ALT, leading me to believe that I have some sort of liver issue. However, I pay very close attention to my diet, I am not overweight, I don't drink, and I exercise every day.
Hence, after doing a lot of research, I believe excess fructose from fruit could be the culprit. I eat lots of fruit, mainly apples, grapes, bananas, strawberries, kiwis, and oranges. I have 4-5 servings of fruit a day. Fructose is metabolized by the liver, so I was wondering if my conclusion seems correct and if anyone has any tips/advice on how to go about this problem.
