Cut content from HF movies adaptation

Hey guys :)

(SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY)

I just finished watching the Heaven's Feel movies adaption, and I have to say- they're pretty BAD. The only thing that was done right is the animations (especially in the fighting scenes) which are gorgeous.

I'm not a VN fan at all, so all I would like to know is if u could tell me about major and important content that was cut from the adaptation.

A few examples of the things I would like to understand are;

-wtf is that 'Holy Grail'? in Zero and UBW it sounded simple enough, but in the movies it's pretty much the 'bad guy', and there is this Greater Grail or whatever... it all feels too mysterious and unexplained, and pretty much an entity which is still unknown just in order to keep expanding the Fate universe which for me is just bad writing..

- Kirei- what is it with this dude?? is he bad or good? does he not have a heart (Assasin couldn't take it) or does he have one (Sakura was able to touch it or something) and how did that happen? Who is the woman that looks like 2B from Nier:Automata (if u know u know) that killed herself in front of him and why was she important in the movie?

I have more questions, like about 'the eighth servant' that came out of nowhere, this sword that meant specifically to defeat Sakura (which again, came out of nowhere...), but u get the point..

I want to love this show, you have no idea how frustrated I got every time another rule-breaking thing showed up.. I just want to believe this is because of bad direction, and the VN makes a lot more sense..
