Which fictional character is the embodiment of perseverance?

Many characters persevere without giving up because the story requires it.

But I am looking for characters whose perseverance is highlighted as a core factor in their character/journey.

They don't have to be the main character but they atleast need to have enough screen time to warrant reading the story for them.

I am looking for either:

1) A character who doesn't give up no matter what obstacles come his way

OR

2) A character who struggles a lot and seems weak but eventually becomes strong enough to keep moving forward

Examples:
