Changed daily budget by $30 and now conversions tanked?
Hi - I am new to FB ads and have found this thread so so helpful.
We just started running ads about a month ago, and our latest campaign (which is about 10 days in now) has been our most successful, with 16 sales. Given the success, 2 days ago, we upped the daily budget from $50 to $80, and now for the last 2 days, we are seeing 0 conversions, and CPMs increase (CTRs slightly decreasing). We've consistently seen 1-3 sales per day in the first 7 days, but now in the last 2, have dropped to 0.
A couple of questions and thoughts on how we should move forward:
- Is it really true, that this can be caused with such a small $ magnitude in change? Are we reading too much into our campaign being resent back into "learning"
- Is 48 hours too soon to start worrying?
- Should we revert the budget back down? or is that going to mess it up even more?
- We have more creatives we want to test. Should we hold off, given that this will be another change?
My current view is that we are so new, that the first 7-day performance (which was great) was just an anomaly and the up and down here is normal, but it seemed so odd that right the day after we increased the budget, conversions went to 0.
