Is this game worth getting in 2021?

Title. Coming from other shooters like DayZ, CS:GO, Arma 3, I've never really focused on what Tarkov has to offer, but lately YouTube has been suggesting some Tarkov videos which made me interested in the game. It seems like a very punishing and realistic yet glitchy and somewhat clunky shooter, which seems to be my cup of tea apparently (DayZ, Arma 3). I've watched a couple of videos about the state of the game in 2021 but I'd like to open up a discussion with some of the people that actually play the game.

Also, if I do decide to get the game, what are some good tips for a beginner? I consider myself a relatively good FPS player, but as I gather this game is a lot more than just aim-and-shoot (map knowledge, equipment, ammo types, etc). Also are there like beginners-only servers you can hop onto or does the game completely throw you into cold water in that regard?
