Is precision shooting worth it?

I’m a fairly new player. Currently Div 7. I just recently switched from assisted to precision shooting. So far it seems shots further out that I’d look at as “worse” looks are slightly better, but it’s way harder to score what seem like gimmes.

I’m sure I just need to get comfortable with losing some games I should win to learn how to play it, but is it worth learning?
