When did Michael disappear?

Hello everyone. I’m playing Duskwood again and I came across a timeline confusion… Maybe you can help me out.

When we talk to the group about Michael Hanson and the Aurora bar, they say they have only been going to the bar for a short time, since Phil took over the management… This gives the impression that it happened recently, about a year ago, maybe a little more.

When we talk to Alan about Michael, he says that Michael disappeared “back then,” which gives the impression that it was around the time his daughter died.

But how can Jessy and the others be confused about such a large time gap??

Mixing up one or two years is okay, but we’re talking about ten years here. What do you think? When did Michael disappear?
