should i get the valentines makeup pack?

does anyone know if i do not have custom makeup and i buy the valentines makeup pack and plan to get custom makeup in the future will the valentines pack work when i’m able to get custom makeup (whenever that is) or do i have to have custom makeup before getting the valentines makeup pack ?
