I'm trying really hard to recall this fic, and I only have a few details I remember clearly
- It's absolutely published on ao3
- The fic includes a very depressed Draco, who basically thinks his life is purposeless and he'll have to live under the thumb of the Ministry for the rest of his life. He's super quiet in classes.
- Hermione and him study together in the library
- He refuses to take their physical relationship to the next level immediately, but he'll hold hands with her
- The hand-holding is practically sexual with the way he strokes her hand and it drives her NUTS so she takes it to making out, but then he won't go further than THAT and it's even more maddening
- It gets angsty because he really doesn't think he deserves a shot with her and it breaks her heart
The main defining feature about it to me was the descriptions of how sexual it was the way he held her hand!!! Please help a girl out, I want to bookmark it and shelve it MWAH
