Dog jumps up when going through doors

2 year old english staffy x maltese always jumps up on us when going through doors or gates. It seems to be out of excitement and it doesn't matter what side of the door we are on whether we are letting her in our out or if we are going through the door with her. We have a little boy and so we have been firm with her when she jumps up to try to discourage this behavior but have not seen any progress. We don't pat her when she jumps and we tell her no but beyond this I don't really know what to do so seeking advice here.
