Are werewolves an infinite source of meat?
When looking for information on how werewolf's damage immunity looks like in the lore, the general idea was that werewolves instantly regenerate any wounds done with regular weapons. (As opposed to the weapons simply bouncing off their skin)
With that in mind, could a city capture a werewolf and endlessly chop of its limbs to feed the citizens?
The werewolf would instantly regrow lost limbs with no HP loss, and it could be fed with it's own meat and blood. All cow/pig farms could be replaced with a few werewolves taking only a fraction of the space and cost.
That obviously sounds overpowered, but is there any reason as to why that shouldn't work? Like separated meat turning to ashes or evaporating?
Obviously, I see that unethicality of it could discourage most people from attempting it, but why shouldn't an evil Drow nation do it?
What should a DM do if the party wants to replace their food rations with a werewolf slave?
