20v fan $99 a real sale?

Saw I missed a good sale on the fan at Home Depot last month. I see HD has the fan for $99 and it is noted on sale $50 off. Is this a true sale or normal price to look like a sale? I see Lowes is $149 for both the tool only and with fan and battery. That is weird to me.
