Is this common?

Frequently we will be double scheduled. I don’t mean like oh we have one appointment here but we can throw in an insert or something here too. That I’m fine with. But it happens commonly that we are completely double scheduled, today we have a crown and a filling scheduled at the exact same time for one doctor. It’s not like we’re fitting 2 appointments into the same amount of time, it just simply puts us behind every single time. It just seems like the doctor doesn’t care that we’re busting ass and struggling to keep on time because he allows front desk to schedule like that. I’m just wondering if this is common practice or if he’s just way money hungry.
