Is the Dell XPS 15 9570 i7 that bad?

I’m a former XPS 13 owner and was previously in love with that laptop. It was not only reliable, but portable and easy to carry around all the while not experiencing any major problems. I no longer have that laptop and am looking to buy either an XPS 13 or 15. From browsing this subreddit, it seems that the XPS 15 has gotten a lot of complaints about its long term reliability. My question is, which would I be better off purchasing?

I would use the laptop for everyday browsing and research for college, but I want my laptop to be able to handle light gaming (nothing more hardware demanding than CSGO or Overwatch). Is it worth the higher price tag to purchase the XPS 15 at the expense of long term reliability? In either laptop, I would be looking at getting the i7 version. I’m not sure if the comments I’ve been seeing about the XPS 15 are just unlucky anecdotal experiences, or if the laptop itself is fundamentally flawed. Thanks for your guys input!

Also, can someone clear up the difference between the 9560 version vs the 9570 version? I’m not sure what the difference is :)
