How long do roads last from online

I’m a new player hope this ain’t a dumb question. Got on the game this morning and from the online service had basically all the roads done in the central region. 2 questions, 1. Do the roads from online last or will they disappear randomly 2. If they last forever (ofc excluding rot) is this a common occurrence for them all to spawn?
