Why are so many players scared of getting invaded?

I dont know why but sometimes (like 10% of the time) as soon as they see me or the message of when I invade they insta disconnect... I 100% agree losing progress sucks but just play offline..?

if you guys do this...why?

EDIT: after almost 300 comments I came the conclusion that most of you are simply scared of losing items/losing an invasion. I've had comment's explaining why, and the majority of you said "it's not fair, its annoying, I don't want to lose or use items, I just want to co-op and see messages/bloodstains, im bad at pvp so I just give up or dc." It's silly to be honest. Wanting all the help yet when an obstacle blocks your way you resort to cowerdance not trusting your ability to even try. It is okay to not like the pvp but to be scared of trying is bad in general. Most of you that said they suck at pvp and thats okay, but you suck because you never tried become better.

Now some people said "I cant go offline! It's not my fault!" That's okay I understand that. So I will help you. Step 1: turn off your Internet. Step 2: start the game. Step 3: enter your character. Step 4: turn on your Internet.

That's it.

Obviously cheating invaders or purposefully trolling for too long is justifiable for pvp.

But just wanted to get this get this out there as Im getting the same answers and questions.

This is also coming from a baby souls gamer as my first souls game was ER so I was surprised when I saw the hate towards invaders as they have always been somewhat hated.

Remember this post was a discussion that I had a very open mind to and treated everyone with respect except those who just became cry babies in my comments.

I've also got told that I can re invade as much as I want if they dc and come back, as the invasion timer doesn't reset. Luckily too many dc's will lead you to a soft ban. So i don't have to worry much about not having a fight anymore :)
