AliExpress purchase

Can't find a lot on here regarding purchasing from AliExpress so I thought I'd start this one and I'll update it once arrived. Been eyeing a df64 gen 2 now for a while waiting for any Black Friday deals but for an already inexpensive but good grinder I wasn't holding out much hope of getting much of one apart from the preorder pricing at $359 with a 1 month delay for that pricing at espresso outlet. Wary about df64 coffee as they seem quite restrictive in contacting, shipping, etc so decided to do AliExpress. Couldn't really pass up on it $292usd and with a coupon for $35 that covered all of the taxes ended up paying $279 all up. The comments mention it is the version 2.3 and shipping from the USA.

We'll see what happens. Mentions free returns for the first 90 days so for a substantial enough discount of the other resellers prices I'll take the risk and update here if anything happens.

UPDATED: 11/27 4 days have passed and this evening I started to get cold feet as I inquired why the shipment tracking reference number doesn't correspond to anything and the response I got back was "your order was temporarily reissued and to wait until the product was shipped". Got cold feet as looking at the AliExpress Reddit forums it appears that sometimes fraudulent sellers do this to try and circumvent some of the buyer protection measures and keep pushing the shipment date out longer and longer, so I got customer service involved and they've put in a refund request. Ugh, really wanted this to work out.

Updated: 12/4 this seller is a scam. 1 day after the expected delivery date they changed the tracking number to show a package being delivered 1 day after I placed the order. It’s so blatant of a scam as the photo shows a trash can or something as the delivery item as well as the weight being entirely off. AliExpress doesn't seem to care but just that I need to wait up to 48hours for the refund claim to be processed. Probably more stupidly they have continued to allow the seller to sell items. I don't get their business model.
