Found verdict discussion
So found verdict is back, once touted as the most 'consistent' shotgun in the game and a borderline iconic PvP weapon. We all saw the refreshed perk pool and no lone wolf + no closing time is certainly one of the decisions of all time. Despite that the gun still interested me, mainly due to the addition of threat detector and it being an aggressive frame. I burnt 5 harmonisers on it and I've been trying out/tweaking my roll over the past week or so, just here to share my thoughts and see what others are thinking.
TLDR: This gun kind of fucks, I'd advise trying it out but you NEED to have the correct mods and roll.
Originally I was thinking that max handling was needed, mainly due to agg frames having such poor base stats compared to precisions. This roll was barrelshroud, accurized, threat + opening and a handling mw. The gun felt good, very consistent but quite limited on range, there were borderline no kills past 5 metres. So I tweaked it to a range mw and corkscrew barrel, and have CONSISTENTLY been hitting 6 metres, sometimes even further.
Mainly due to the fact that it's an aggressive I feel that it's better than precision frames at blinting, clean ups and punching through overshields. Furthermore there is real consistency here and I mean that in every aspect of the gun.
Threat detector feels almost undervalued nowadays, closing time is a bigger handling bump and was THE perk meant to powercreep threat detector. It is a variable perk though, dumping ammo when at 2 or 3 or higher in the mag feels wasteful, and may not really be an option when the special ammo metre is reintroduced. Furthermore it's currently VERY hot, as in I would not be in any way surprised if it catches a nerf, and honestly it probably should. Threat meanwhile is always going to be there, it always activates and the difference is not huge.
I took the ideal rolls of the relevant precision frames, and put them in d2 foundry against crafted fv. The caveat is that I put FV with 2x arc dexterity and just 1x dexterity for the precision frames. I also viewed the stats at threat detector x 1 and closing time + lone wolf at base not max values. I did this because these values are more common, and I feel reflect general use more honestly. Please see the values in the screenshot.
It's not horrible imo. It's worth saying that these are all literal 5/5 god rolls, and I know most people do not have those. Fv is craftable and the pullout w 2x arc dex is competitive. It's not as fast I'll admit, but in all my games It's always managed to pull out when needed, I've never been caught switching. And Imo it feels more consistent than all of the above options bar deadlock, which I would say rivals fv in terms of consistency. I'm lucky enough to have 4.5/5/5's of all the above (apart from matador), and tbh fv might be my new main energy shotgun.
