[FO] Besties, respectively, this hobby is insane, and you're all a little crazy. First cross stitch ever complete!
I'd like to say that I bought this kit accidentally, I had a drama where I briefly thought there wasn't a key for the colours, I started stitching, I've never so much as sewed a button on a pair of pants - please GOD tell me why this hobby tested me immediately. I cannot tell you how many liberties I took with this. There is a lot of black that has been stitched over with colour because I just gave up with removing stitch mistakes I made. I now know why you count twice and stitch once. How do numbers keep changing and why was the one thing I just did, which was right, now wrong? Let me tell you, the last column of black on the right was not in the original design. That was what I am calling damage control after the fact. I dreamed about cross stitching, I cross stitched right through my lunch breaks for three days, I worked on this every day until it was done, and I finished it hungover, that is how much it haunted me. The BACK of this looks like a dog's lunch. This was like 5cm x 7cm and I screamed thrice. So, with respect, anyone doing designs bigger than this: you're insane. Why would you do that to yourself?
Anyway, in other news, I just bought two more kits.
