Teaching Friends About Credit Cards = Loss of Rewards?

I’m in a bit of a dilemma and would love to hear your thoughts. For a long time, I used to be the one paying whenever my friends and I went out to restaurants or for group activities. One of my friends noticed and asked me, "Why do you always pay?" That’s when I explained how I use my credit cards to rack up rewards, cashback, and points.

Fast forward to now, she got her own credit card and insist on paying every time to maximize her own rewards! I kind of regret explaining the whole thing because now I’m missing out on the rewards I used to earn.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How do you handle it when friends start competing for the chance to pay for rewards? Do you regret teaching your friends about credit cards? Looking forward to your thoughts and stories!
