What's your weird "red line" in a recipe?
You will never do this.
It would be delicious, and it wouldn't even be that hard, but you know it's never gonna happen.
You regret spending the time hunting for the "jump to recipe" button.
If you were watching a recipe video, you swipe away immediately.
What's that ingredient or technique for you?
For me, it's rice wine vinegar, or sterilizing a utensil/container, or blanching vegetables.
EDIT: I'm getting a lot of hate for naming rice wine vinegar. Aren't there any ingredients that you like just fine, but you don't really want to go out and buy it and you know it would just sit there forever?
After all, my original intent was for people to share their "weird", irrational red lines. But it's still definitely fun to hear people's different hated ingredients, equipment, difficult/tedious techniques, and other pet peeves 🙂 Keep ‘em comin’!
