LTD Company Director Salary Reduction and Gifting Shares to Spouse.

I know this topic has been discussed many times on this subreddit, but I wanted to post this because my question is slightly different from others.

I am the director and sole shareholder of my own LTD company. I currently pay myself a net salary of £1,250 and take dividends until I reach the higher tax threshold.

I am planning to gift 49% of my shares to my spouse soon and am considering decreasing my salary to allow both of us to withdraw larger dividends while ensuring we stay below the higher tax band.

My spouse is not currently working, and I do not want to employ her since she would need to perform real work, and we would have to provide evidence if HMRC were to investigate. I want to ensure tax efficiency, not tax fraud.

My question is: if I reduce my salary to £9,100 per year and start withdrawing £41,170 in dividends, would this be seen as a red flag by HMRC? If I do this, my spouse would be able to withdraw £39,555 in dividends.
