Shared Personal Info in Reddit DM – Now I'm Worried About What Could Happen

I need some advice and I’m a bit worried. Recently, I shared a bit of personal info with someone I was chatting with in a Reddit DM (this is my burner ac). Specifically, I gave them my first name, the company I used to work for, and what I’m currently doing now professionally. At the time, it seemed like a casual exchange, and I didn’t think much of it.

However, after some reflection, I’m getting a bit anxious about it. I’m worried that they could misuse this information in some way, whether it’s by stalking me, trying to find more personal details, or even something worse. The person wants me to sext with her, she was dropping all sorts of hints while chatting. I guess I’ve just realized that sharing anything beyond just a friendly chat can be risky, especially with someone you don’t really know.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Should I be doing anything to protect myself now, or is this just an overreaction? I’m definitely going to be more cautious going forward, but I’d love to hear any thoughts or advice on how to handle this situation.
