How to Fix my Rushed Th 16

Hey so I'm new here and I recently logged back into my COC account. I had rushed till TH 16 earlier and cuz of the auto upgrade feature a lot of my buildings and troops did get upgraded but I need help. I already asked a friend which upgrades to do and he told me to do the eagle and the merged defences(a bit surprised that SuperCell added those) after that I asked what I should do and he just told me to do whatever feels right but idk what to do and how to do it. For now my X-Bows are going to level 6/7 idk which one. But what should I do next? Which heros should I upgrade? Which troops should I focus on? Please Help
