I'm really bummed on how tight lipped some people in the video synth community are.
Circuit bending analog video devices is something I've been super interested in and it's just so hard to make headway in. I've talked to people like Statikstramentz and Tachyons+ but the response I get is basically; read, experiment, search these specific things, etc. I'm really just looking for a wiring diagram/schematic for one of their boxes so I can find out what parts do what, but that doesn't seem to be possible (which I guess is understandable, they make money from those designs). I even asked if they could alter the circuit so it's not what they're building; no dice. I even asked for a quick run down of what components do what to a video signal. Nothing there.
I just wish people would share more information so the people who want to get into it can without putting everything into it. Rant over.
If anyone has some thoughts on what I could do to make headway in circuit bending video signals I'd be very grateful.
