Fired After 1 Year in a Startup
Hi fellow Redditors,
Just a bit of a rant from me. My company called me last night and fired me after 1 year and 4 months of working there. I’m a web developer at a startup, and this was my first job. I’ve always been good at my work and sometimes completed entire projects in a single day.
The reason they gave for firing me is that they don't have any web development projects, which is a terrible excuse. I’ve even worked late nights until 11 PM to finish tasks. I don’t know what to do next. I did my job well, but everything went wrong, even with a salary of just 15k.
I'm now looking for web development opportunities in Chennai. It’s also not even a week into the New Year, and I’ve already been let go. If anyone has any references, it would really help. I’m not chasing a high salary; I just want to learn new technologies.
Apologies for the rant—any suggestions are welcome. Also, what kind of documents should I ask them for, like an experience letter?
