Question about the potential prospects after the FE Exam

Hello!

Will taking the FE exam during senior year help me with the job hunt? I am interested in the pharma industry as a process control/development engineer, but I am currently a junior with only research experience under my belt (and no replies from any internship application yet). Also, I am an international student, if that has any noticeable effect!
