centrelink and homelessness
Hi all. I'm on centrelink, have medical issues (been rejected for dsp) not working. Was paying rent fine as I had my child with me, however they have decided to live with the other parent full time. This leaves me on jobkeeper and no way of affording rent. Trying to keep the roof over my head for my child's sake so they have a place to come back to if needed, by means of trying to fill the other two spare rooms. This has been a nightmare undertaking so far.
My issue is, if I don't end up filling those two rooms, I will have to give up the house. I currently have a centrelink debt as well, and with this in mind, I'm debating to live out of my car for a while, if I lose the house, to help get rid of the debt and get back on top.
My question is, do you have to have a fixed address to continue to recieve centrelink payments, or Will a p.o. box suffice? Is it possible to be homeless and stay on centrelink? I'm hoping it won't come to this, however it will be the next choice if I do lose the house.
Thankyou.
