I am stuck trying to choose between Catholicism and Orthodoxy

I am leaving atheism after many years and after reading theology and Church history I am now trying to choose between Catholicism and Orthodoxy - I am leaning toward Orthodoxy but now I am having doubts and wanting to learn more about the Catholic position but I have many hangups in regards to the Catholic position that Muslims worship the same God as us. Any help would be most welcome :/
